Q. What does One Heart offer?

A. We provide guidance on dosing, product selection, methods of use. We also educate patients on the benefits of various phytocannabinoids including THC, THC-A, and CBD.


 Q. Does One Heart offer same day registration?

A. Yes, if recommended by the doctor during your visit, we will process your information on the same business day.


Q. Is One Heart ADA compatible?

A. Yes, we offer ADA compatible facilities, with wheelchair ramp, elevator, and ADA approved updated bathrooms on each floor.


Q. What is the Patient Portal?

A. This is a HIPAA compliant service which allows the patient to log in and send questions directly to the doctor, with prompt response.


 Q. When do I need to renew my medical cannabis card?

A. You must be reevaluated by your cannabis doctor yearly, thus we recommend seeing us at One Heart at the 11 month mark from when your card was activated.


 Q. Can I be recommended to use medical cannabis if I currently am prescribed a controlled substance?

A. Yes, though each patients case will be evaluated individually by the doctor to see if use of both medical cannabis and your other medications is advised.


Q. What medical records do I need to bring to the appointment or have faxed to you?

A. You will need your primary care provider or specialist to supply notes with your qualifying condition mentioned from the past 2-3 visits. Labs, imaging, and other testing performed as well as prior treatments are also helpful.


Q. What if I am unable to schedule an appointment online?

A. Please call 513-321-1242 and we will happily assist you.


Q. Does One Heart Medical take insurance?

A. Currently, no insurance providers are accepting a doctor visit in regards to medical cannabis thus we cannot take insurance at this time.


Q. Does our clinic have cannabis on site?

A. We do not have any cannabis products on site, however we can provide you contact information to some local dispensaries which do.


Q. How much cannabis can a medical patient legally purchase in Ohio?

A. A one day supply consists of 1/10 oz of plant material (2.83 gm); 295 mg of THC in a patch, lotion, cream, or ointment; 110 mg of THC in an oil, tincture, capsule, or edible for oral administration; 590 mg of THC in oil for vaporization.

In a 90 day period, one can collectively purchase;

  • Plant material; Up to 8 oz of tier 1 marijuana (at or below 23% THC); Up to 5.3 oz of tier 2 marijuana (24-35% THC)

  • Transdermal patches, lotions, creams, ointments; No more than 26.55 grams (26,550 mg) of THC

  • Edibles, oils, capsules, tinctures; Up to 9.9 grams (9,900 mg) of THC

  • Oil for Vaporization; Up to 53.10 grams of THC


Q. If I have a terminal condition, do I qualify for a larger supply of cannabis?

A. Yes, if your doctor deems your condition terminal, you will have access to larger supply of cannabis.


Q. Can I grow cannabis if I have a medical cannabis card?

A. No, Ohio’s medical cannabis law does not allow a patient to grow cannabis.


Q. Can an employer take action on an employee with a medical cannabis card whom tests positive for THC?

A. Yes, an employer can take action on an employee at their discretion. We can provide notes to employers if the patient requests.


Q. Can one obtain a carrying a concealed weapon (CCW) license as a medical cannabis patient?

A. No, Ohio currently asks if a patient uses cannabis on the CCW application.
